Titan BS 55-FRP Simplex Basket Strainer

This unique Simplex Basket Strainer is made of high quality fiberglass reinforced plastic. The BS 55-FRP strainer is available in standard or premium grade FRP. Standard grade FRP is ideal for low pressure/temperature applications, with a stainless steel basket and flanged connections that are pressure tested to 75psi. Premium grade FRP is for more severe service conditions and provides superb corrosive, abrasive, and heat resistance, with a pressure rating of 150psi.

Some unique features of the BS 55-FRP strainer are its quick-opening cover, a high strength-to-weight ratio, low installation cost, and its field repairable nature. Strainers in this series are built with an exceptionally large outlet area in the basket chamber, which results in low initial pressure losses and greater debris loading before pressure drop. Titan’s FRP strainers are also available as reducing strainer, which can be used as adapters between different-sized pipelines and can counteract pressure drop to a degree.
