The 1 micron cartridge filters have the ability to remove miniscule particles from the liquid being filtered. This includes bacteria and other harmful contaminants as well as much larger ones such as sand or visible sediment.  If you are looking to almost completely filter out your liquid, this is the filter size for you! Generally, the smaller the micron rating, the smaller the particulate it is able to remove from the liquid. The 1 micron size is the second most detailed filtration size that we offer which makes it the perfect cartridge filter for liquid that requires heavy duty filtration.
