Unlike fabricated strainer bodies that rely on welds and joints, the YSH body is injection molded as one continuous piece. No seams, no stress risers, no failure points. The result is a structurally superior housing rated to 150 PSI / 10 bar (non-shock) at 70°F (21°C), available in three material options to match your process chemistry.

Simplified Maintenance by Design

The one-piece thermoplastic straining screen snaps into the retainer without tools for fast field service. Color-coded external buttress thread barrel nuts — orange for PVC and Clear PVC, black for CPVC — provide instant material identification. Pre-drilled cap taps on 1" and larger units accept pressure gauges or blow-out connections, and an optional hex cap allows wrench-assisted access when needed.

Permanent flow direction arrows and material markings molded directly into the body eliminate installation guesswork. Every unit ships ready to install horizontally or vertically, backed by Hayward's 3-Year Global Warranty.
