Hayward YSH 1" Clear PVC Y-Strainer with True Union Socket & Threaded Ends
This 1" Hayward YSH Series Y-Strainer combines reliable particulate removal with a compact, serviceable design built for commercial and industrial filtration systems. The body is molded from Clear PVC (Clear PVC Cell Class 12454 per ASTM D1784) (PVC end connections), paired with a PVC straining basket and EPDM o-ring seals.
The transparent Clear PVC construction allows operators to visually monitor flow conditions and screen buildup without disassembly, reducing downtime during maintenance checks.
True union socket and threaded connections on both ends enable fast removal for cleaning or replacement without disturbing adjacent piping — a significant advantage in systems that require frequent maintenance.
Sealed with EPDM o-rings, which offer broad compatibility with water, dilute acids, and alkaline solutions — a versatile choice for most water treatment and general industrial environments.
