Eaton Model 72SJ Strainer

Strain Hot Liquids with the SJ (Steam Jacketed) Strainer

Eaton 72SJ Strainer

This specialized strainer design is based off the popular 72, and it enables you to keep your media “molten” so it may flow through the pipeline. The “SJ” in model 72SJ stands for Steam Jacketed which means it is encased in a specially designed exterior that allows for steam or heated fluid to be circulated throughout the casing. This allows the strainer to maintain a high enough temperature for liquefying things like polymers, asphalt, or chocolate. The jacket comes in either carbon or stainless steel, and it is welded to the cast strainer body. Suitable for steam pressure in the jacket up to 100psi.

Eaton’s model 72SJ also features a large basket and easy-remove cover. No tools required! This model also comes standard with a threaded drain, ½” NPT steam connections, and a machined perforated or mesh stainless steel basket.
