Hayward YSH 2" CPVC Y-Strainer with True Union Socket & Threaded Ends
This 2" Hayward YSH Series Y-Strainer combines reliable particulate removal with a compact, serviceable design built for commercial and industrial filtration systems. The body is molded from CPVC (CPVC Cell Class 23447 per ASTM D1784) (CPVC end connections), paired with a CPVC straining basket and EPDM o-ring seals.
Engineered with CPVC for elevated temperature service, this strainer handles higher operating temperatures than standard PVC while maintaining strong chemical resistance for demanding process applications.
True union socket and threaded connections on both ends enable fast removal for cleaning or replacement without disturbing adjacent piping — a significant advantage in systems that require frequent maintenance.
Sealed with EPDM o-rings, which offer broad compatibility with water, dilute acids, and alkaline solutions — a versatile choice for most water treatment and general industrial environments.
