Hayward YSH 1-1/4" CPVC Y-Strainer with True Union Flanged Ends
This 1-1/4" Hayward YSH Series Y-Strainer combines reliable particulate removal with a compact, serviceable design built for commercial and industrial filtration systems. The body is molded from CPVC (CPVC Cell Class 23447 per ASTM D1784) (CPVC end connections), paired with a CPVC straining basket and FPM (Viton®) o-ring seals.
Engineered with CPVC for elevated temperature service, this strainer handles higher operating temperatures than standard PVC while maintaining strong chemical resistance for demanding process applications.
True union flanged connections provide bolt-on installation and easy in-line removal, well suited for larger process lines and systems where ANSI-compatible flanged connections are standard.
Sealed with FPM (Viton®) o-rings for superior resistance to fuels, oils, solvents, and concentrated chemicals — the preferred option for aggressive chemical handling applications.

Design Highlights
The YSH Series features exterior buttress threads and a pressure-relieving chamfered barrel nut for safer servicing. An optional hex cap provides tool-assisted screen access, while pre-drilled cap taps accommodate blow-out or gauge ports. Clear PVC screen inserts are available for visual monitoring. Suitable for horizontal or vertical mounting. Optional mesh screens (20–325 mesh) offered in stainless steel, PVDF, Hastelloy, titanium, and Monel for specialized filtration needs.
