Spears makes high-quality PVC and CPVC basket strainers with a wide range of end types. These strainers are available in sizes from 1/2" to 12" and with three different end types: socket, spigot, or flanged. These strainers are rated for 150psi (1/2" - 8") or 50psi (10" - 12"), so they are great for low pressure filtration of large debris. Baskets are can be ordered in PVC, CPVC, or stainless steel.

The suction strainer is a special basket strainer design that reduces pressure drop, a critical element in suction line applications. While same-size (inlet/outlet) units are available, the enlarged inlet performs best in suction-line applications. These are constructed from high quality gray PVC, a chemical & corrosion resistant material. They come standard with a bolt-on bonnet with top sight glass and EPDM seals.

These Spears Y-type sediment strainers are the perfect choice for in-line removal of suspended solids, sediment, dirt, and debris. A convenient removable strainer basket allows quick cleaning with an assortment of screen mesh sizes to meet a variety of aplication needs. Spears Y-Strainers are produced from gray or clear PVC or gray CPVC for higher temperatures. Available with a variety of end types in sizes 1/2" to 4".
