Some applications or systems are too unique for a one-size-fits-all strainer. In those cases, you need a fabricated strainer. Eaton has over 75 years of experience manufacturing pipeline strainers, and all their fabricated strainers are ISO 9001-2008 certified for quality management. The primary metrics that must be specified when making a fabricated strainer are the size of the pipeline, the specified flow rate, and retention requirement. It could be difficult or impossible to find a non-fabricated filter that fits your needs, but Eaton knows that some jobs need custom parts and provides everything you need to do it right.

While Eaton Fabricated Strainers are unique, they come in pre-designed models. Each model has different strengths and is for different types of applications. For single-basket straining, they carry the Model 90 (1”-48”) or the Model 91 (2”-48”). The Model 90 is a flexible strainer that is available in carbon steel or stainless steel. The Model 91 is a more compact design that does not have the large hanging basket that many other strainers possess. You can also get fabricated duplex strainers. The Model 950B (2”-24”) is available with a quick-opening cover or a bolted cover. For piping start-up applications, the Model 92 temporary strainer is a great option. Each model is available in a range of different perforations and mesh linings.
